I’m excited to announce that our friends, the Minions of Gozer, will return to the IFC Center this weekend for their live shadowcast of “Ghostbusters”!!

Hangalong has had the honor and privilege of working closely with the Minions and attending a shadowcast; it’s by far one of the most unique entertainment experiences that all New Yorkers should witness.

You’re probably thinking, this all sounds great, but WHAT is a shadowcast? If you’ve ever been to a “Rocky Horror Picture Show” midnight screening or know about them, the Minions of Gozer are continuing its tradition of simultaneous live performance with a film screening. They bring the story to life using numerous props (a slimer puppet, silly string), wardrobe changes (someone actually WEARS a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man costume!), and audience interaction (you get to eat Twinkies and throw stuff at the screen!).

Be sure to pick up a program, which has a full guide to the audience interaction portion, and to purchase a Proton Pack containing all the goodies and props you’ll need join in the fun. And if you’re up for the challenge, there’s going to be a Twinkie-eating contest, yummy!

The Live Ghostbusters Shadowcast is taking place tonight and Saturday night at midnight…I highly recommend buying tickets in advance before they sell out and getting on line EARLY to get a good seat.
